This series
is designed to prepare the student to pass the CIW Foundations
1D0-410 exam. This series covers the three topic areas addressed
by the exam: Internet Fundamentals, Web Page Authoring Fundamentals,
and Networking Fundamentals. The first part of the series
covers how to use key Internet technologies, how to configure
a browser, how to effectively use search engines, and basic
electronic commerce and security issues. The second part of
this series teaches how to create Web pages, using both a
text editor and a graphical user interface editor, that include
graphics, hyperlinks, tables, forms, and frames. It also covers
the use of Cascading Style Sheets and the basics of XHTML,
JavaScript, DHTML, and the DOM. The third part of this series
covers fundamental networking concepts and practices, including
network architecture and standards, network types, protocols,
Internet servers, TCP/IP, and security.
